Valentines Day 2013

This year we decided to keep Valentines day simple and not try to juggle a babysitter situation with our two little cuties.  We opted to have a wonderful dinner at home with the girls instead of fighting the crowds. It was a very relaxing evening.

I usually get the girls a cute little holiday shirt from Wal-mart but this year there selection was very sparse so I decided to get creative and actually attempt one of my pintrest projects.  I made the girls cute little skirts instead.... they were not perfect and I know what to do different next time but they still turned out super cute.

She LOVES her baby doll... she has named her Jordyn because all babies are Jordyn Pie right now... for a while I thought that her and Jordyn were going to switch baby dolls from grandma and poppi but she is back to loving her doll....

She was having a rough morning (she is cutting teeth) and so I didn't get many pictures of her....

My wonderful Husband spoiled me and brought me a dozen roses and chocolate covered strawberries.... He is sooooo sweet....

Blake's little valentines both a got a rose as well.... what a great daddy he is....

For dessert Kenlee and I made a heart cake... she was so proud of it...

So fun and it was very delicious....

Jordyn Pie's first spaghetti experience...

I gave her a spoon just to see what would happen and of course she abandoned it quickly and dug right in....

She really enjoyed EVERY bite... it was very cute to watch her.....

She actually didn't do too bad.... her mess was mostly contained to her face and hands...

Of course Kenlee wanted to join sister so she got some sauce on her face and wanted some pictures taken... she is super silly....

We had a great dinner of spaghetti and french bread that my wonderful husband prepared and cleaned up.... THANK YOU for the break Blake... I have the BEST Valentine ever!

Blake's 27th Birthday

Another year older and another year wiser.

This years cheesecake request was a rolo cheesecake.... I put caramel in the cheesecake and then decorated with rolos and more caramel....

Kenlee ran into my room the morning of Blake's birthday horrified that she didn't have a gift for her daddy.  I tried to explain to her that she and I were sharing a gift to give daddy.  This anwser was not well received   She continued to insist that she needed to go shopping for a gift for her daddy.  I asked her if she had money to go shopping with, her response was "I can just use some of your money mom, right?"  Well how could I say no so we went shopping and I let her pick out this shirt.  She also provided her own pennies to put in the gift as well. She is such a thoughtful little stinker.....

I got Blake these lovely basketball shorts because he really needed them this semester and I also knew that if he has his choice he would only were basketball shorts so it was practical and fun...

Blake brought home this birthday balloon from work and Kenlee was instantly best friends with the balloon.  His name was orangy.  He went everywhere with her for a couple of days and then we had a very sad morning when she discovered that he had deflated.....

Make a wish.....

He got them all..... although because of the large amount of candles I did have to take quite a bit of wax off the top of the cake to be able to serve it ;)

As usually Blake basically had a birthweek.  His birthday was Tuesday the 5th,  then Thursday the 7th my family through him another birthday bash.  This year he shared his birthday party with Colton.  Their birthdays are a day apart, Colton's the 4th and Blake's the 5th.  I think they both enjoyed the combined celebration....

Brock and Tiffany gave him a major supply of his favorite M&M's....

Karlton gave him a nice football... he plays with it regularly already... in my house.... with my decorations in danger.... boy....

Grandma Tuke spoiled him with double stuff oreos.....

My parents got Blake a really nice 49ers tie... its not pictured but I am sure he will wear it enough that it will show up pictured in another post....

Saturday evening I spoiled Blake and took him out to Texas Roadhouse to finalize the parties.  Poor guy didnt get to eat most of his food though because of his girls... Kenlee ate alot of his steak and mashed potatoes and Jordyn helped finish up the mashed potatoes... He must really love his girls because if you know Blake he doesnt often share food let alone steak.... We had an amazing evening and enjoyed the atmosphere and the girls loved dancing with the employees.

Jordyn is 11 Months!

Guess what..... this crazy little girl is walking. Yep. Walking aleady.  I thought that I had mentally prepared for it because she has been able to stand very steady for a month or so but when she turned and walked it took me by surprise.  And once she started she has progressed VERY quickly.  She can even stand herself up without pulling up on something.  

She is also working on at least two more teeth.  She still only had the 4 that she got around 6 months old.  So we had a break between teeth but these ones are being buggers and she is actually grumpy this time around....

This picture just cracks me up... I love her expressions...

She LOVES her minnie mouse... it goes with her everywhere!  Poor minnie usually travels in this fashion though....

Our newest adventure is our attempt to start changing her over to eating regular meals and less formula and baby foods.  She is actually doing really well.  There are times I have to force her to take her bottle because she would prefer solid food.  Hopefully we will be ready for to be done with formula and bottles by a year old... we have made a good start...

Superbowl XLVII

18 years!! That is how long Blake has been waiting for his beloved 49ers to make it back to the Superbowl   He has been a die hard fan since he was a child and is so excited for them to be to be good again.  Of course we had to go all out for our party this year.... everyone dressed for the occasion.

I know that it was only our small family but there is some unwritten rule that we must over cook and over eat for the Superbowl so.... we did!
