Band Night and Family Fun

Thursday evening was the annual Marching Band Parents Night.  This year it was held in Hyrum at Mountain Crest. This year our whole family was able to go.  The shows were awesome and I hope they have a great season.  I am excited to see how they do!

Jordyn LOVED the bands.  The only times she got fussy was when the music stopped.

All the guys really would have picked somewhere else to be but they are good sports.... for the most part ;)

After awhile we got silly with the camera.  We probably were a little distracting but we always get silly when we are all together.

Jordyn 6 Month Update

Jordyn is such a sweet little girl.  We are so blessed to have her as part of our family and the last six months have proved that.  Our sweet girl had a rough 1 1/2 months.  Her acid reflux flared up really bad and she could barely keep anything down.  After a particularly bad morning I called our pediatrician and he added another medication.  We had hoped this would be the answer but to no avail.  All the new meds did was keep her from being in pain.  We tried everything we could think of but kept coming up with no answers.  Finally we decided to cut her back to shorter feeds which helped a little.  Her stomach didn't seem to reject as much food.  We also started taking her to a chiropractor.  In the last few weeks we have seen an amazing change, she is a whole new baby.  We are so grateful that we finally have an answer and a happier, healthy baby.

Because of her rough times, her stats suffered.  The doctor hopes that now that we have things figured out that by her 9 month appointment she will have better numbers.

Weight: 14lbs 5 oz    25%   (She didn't even gain a whole pound)

Height: 26 1/2in      80% 

Head Measurement: 16 1/2in   45%

I love My Family!

She is pulling more and more faces, it is so fun to see her personality more everyday. 

She has begun sitting up, still a little shaky but doing great!

Our Football Family

Our family LOVES football!  We don't really agree on what teams to cheer for but we agree to disagree and just enjoy cheering. It really is a great family thing for us. Last Sunday was the first Sunday of the season and so we dressed for the occasion.  Blake is a die hard 49ers fan and I am a recent (last 4 years) but true Steelers fan.

To be fair Jordyn is dressed supporting my team and Kenlee is dressed to support Blake's team.  We will see who they really end up cheering for.........

I didn't get a good picture of Blake's amazing new 49ers hat but here is him wearing it.  Trust me it is AMAZING. 

Labor Day Weekend 2012

Labor Day weekend this year was a fun blasted extravaganza! We were invited on a weekend camping trip centered around an awesome adventure..... white water rafting! We headed up to Paris, ID Friday evening to begin our party.  It has been blazing hot this summer, a lot of days record breaking, and we hadn't seen rain in weeks but of course on the eve of our rafting trip it began to rain and the wind blew.  We spent the night trying to keep our tent from calapsing on our heads.  With each big gust of wind Jordyn would cry but our sweet Kenlee thought it was hilarious. She would laugh and say "silly wind" or when the wind touched her face she would say "it touched my face" while laughing really hard. We couldn't help but join her in laughing so what could have been a long night turned into a great family memory. 

Saturday morning started out bright and early when Blake and I headed out to drop our girls of with my Aunt Laretta.  She was sweet enough to take on my little girls while we ran off to battle a river. After the group regathered we all headed to Alpine WY to raft the Snake River. Unfortunately I didn't find a waterproof camera case fast enough so I don't have pictures.  This was Blake and I's first rafting trip and we LOVED it! It was really chilly but you just hold your leg in the water til your leg goes num and then paddle on. The water was pretty calm until the famous "Big Kahuna." We hit it straight on and last three of our passengers including me. Blake and I can't wait to go back again next year, it was such and amazing experience.

Sunday we spent the day recovering from the rafting trip.  We went to church, snacked and lounged.  While my family watched my girls, Nic & Sara, Brock & Tiffany and Blake & I went on a four wheeler ride. It started out pretty calm and then we ended up on very ruff terrain.  It was so fun and we ended up so dirty!

Monday we cleaned up camp and headed to Bear Lake.  Kenlee has been begging us to go to the beach all summer but we hadn't made it.  I am so glad it finally worked out.  Kenlee absolutely loved the beach.  She couldn't wait to get in the water.

 She would lay in the water and paddle with her hands while yelling "I am swimming with the gummy fish."  I am not sure what gummy fish are but it was so stinkin' cute!

Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!!! I can't believe my little girl is already 3!

You believe that when bubbles are going down the drain that the bubbles are going to see their mommy.
You are a total sweetheart but have a very sassy soul.
You are VERY independent, you love to try to do everything yourself but when the task becomes to daunting you are more then willing to ask for help.
Whenever you need to get something unstuck you yell "pee po"(heave ho)
You still don't like the dark but if you are anything like mommy you may not grow out of that....sorry.
You are always willing to help out.
When  playing with other kids you act more like the little mommy then one of the kids.
You always try to make things fair..... whenever we try to use you to tease each other, like asking you which football team is your favorite, you say mommy's and daddy's team
You may be very sweet but you LOVE to tease people, especially your daddy.
Your baby sister is your best friend.
If you start getting grumpy we know you most likely need sleep or food (asap)

Her check-up went really well. She is growing great!  She actually let the doctor and nurses do their jobs without completely unglueing. I am so proud of her. Her stats:

Weight: 32 1/2lbs      75% (which is perfect for her height)
Height: 39 1/2in         92%
Head Measurments:  20in    90%

Our very excited birthday girl!

Kenlee wanted a Minnie mouse party and depending on the week it was supposed to be a purple or pink Minnie party.  To make sure I didn't mess up on the color I used purple and pink :)

We all went over to Grandma and Grandpa Ulrich's house to have a big birthday dinner of Alfredo and french bread. After dinner she was way too excited to wait to open presents so we had to call Grandma and Grandpa Daines & Auntie April to see if they could come over early. Luckily they said they could.  After they came we opened all your gifts and needless to say, she is one spoiled and loved little girl.

First was Grandma and Grandpa Daines gift. They got her these wonderful Minnie Mouse pjs and an awesome Minnie Mouse dress.

Next was Auntie Aprils, she made this beautiful Minnie Mouse cut out which we will hopefully get it framed and up in her room soon. 

April also gave her another beautful Jim Shore Disney figurine.

It is Aladdin and Jasmine on the magic carpet. It also plays A Whole New World and lights up.

Next was a wonderful gift from Grandma Tuke.  She gave Kenlee a CD with primary songs on it.  As soon as Kenlee saw what it was she yelled "this is my favorite!" What a cutie.

Colton got her a race car, and not just any race car but a purple race car. She was so excited!

Tiffany, Brock and Karlee got her a princess tent, she hasn't stopped playing in it since she got it. Every morning we have to put it up and she loads it full of toys.

After gifts we did cake and ice cream with everyone. I think this is the first year that us singing to her didn't scare her.
