My Kiddos

It's that time of year again. Time for some new beautiful pictures of my beautiful children. Tiffany did a fantastic job and I absolutely love every one of them.

Doesn't that face just melt your heart?? I can't help but smile when this little man does. He is still a very happy baby. He still has his grump times or needy times but he is generally very happy and easy to care for. He loves being held but mostly only by Mommy and Daddy. He can be a stinker about other people. He will often scream at the person holding him, leaning back to look at me and begging for me to take him. As soon as the person holding him gives up and hands him back he will stop his crying almost immediately. He definitely knows how to get what he wants. We may get in trouble with that later on in life.

At his 4 month appointment I was really hoping that would have gone up in percentiles and that I wouldn't get "the look" from the doctor. I honestly worried about his appointment and stressed for about a week before, dreading finding out where he stood. His stats were as followed:

Weight: 11lbs 3ozs Under 2%

Height: 24 3/4inches 40%

Head Measurement: 16inches 20%

Luckily his doctor came in asking questions and not just freaking out. We discussed his eating habits and that he was already starting to do 4 ozs of formula. He asked about his interest in food. Once he had done his exam and finished talking to me he was pleased to say he was completely healthy and just truly his daddy's boy.... small and lanky. He did say I could feed him till he was happy (which I was doing) but that was his only "advice" and we would see how his weight was at his 6 month appointment. Since he is 4 months old, Tytan can start rice and vegetables which the doctor hoped would help his weight. So hopefully we will see some higher percentiles later.

Tytan is learning to sleep better through the night and we are hoping to get him moved back to a 9 o'clock bedtime like his sisters as soon as possible.

Tytan is really a happy boy and smiles a lot but he struggles to laugh. Its almost like he gets himself so excited that he stiffens up and can't let the sound out. He looks like he is laughing but no sound. It so funny.

Tytan has his first two teeth, they came in 2 days after his 4 month mark.

Tytan still thinks his sisters are so amazing but he is really excited every time he sees Kenlee. He just lights up every time she talks to him.

Tytan's solve all when he is upset is the 2015 Madden commercial. He will almost instantly stop crying or whining when that commercial comes on. We have shown so many people and they can't believe how instant of a cure it is.

His favorite place to be if not being held is the swing, everything else is torcher.

First Day of Preschool 2014-2015

Today was Kenlee's first day of Preschool. After a lot (and I mean A LOT of debate) we decided to send her to preschool one more year so that she will be one of the oldest of her grade. She would have been totally fine academically but our sweet shy little girl needs some time to over come her social fears. She is going to Grow with Me Preschool again this year because we LOVED her experience last year. Miss Nicole is so wonderful with our shy little girl and helped her a ton with coming out of her shell.

Kenlee was so excited to go to preschool that she binged out of bed at 7:15. I tried to convince her to go back to bed til 8 when I had intended to wake the girls but she couldn't imagine sleeping anymore. I rearranged my plans (I had planned on me getting ready first then waking the girls and getting them ready to go) and started getting her ready for preschool. She had picked out her first day outfit as soon as she opened her present from Gammie and Poppi on her birthday. After she had eaten breakfast and had gotten dressed and ready I told her to go read or color quietly while I got ready so that sister and brother would sleep. Part way through doing my hair she come to the door and said "Mom, I have been waiting out there a long time, can we go yet?" It was just barely 8 and preschool doesn't start til 9:30..... it was a very long wait for her.

Finally when it was time to go we were all gathering up to go outside and take pictures when Blake and I over heard a conversation between Kenlee and Jordyn. Kenlee was explaining that she was going off to preschool so that she could get food for Jordyn. We couldn't help but laugh out loud because this is one of the ways we have tried to explain to Kenlee and Jordyn why Daddy is going to school, so that he can get a good job to get them food and a house and clothes ext. So apparently she is going to be just like daddy and do her part to chip in! What a girl!

Our picture session was short because all she wanted to do was get on her bike and head off to preschool.

Jordyn is such a cheeser. It was really hard to get both of them to look at the camera. Both girlies were so excited to take Kenlee to preschool.

Her favorite mode of transportation.... we will be riding to school as long as the weather will allow.

Blake's bike lost resistance on our way to preschool so he had to push it back home. Jordyn tried to ride his bike home.... she made it pretty far for hanging like that. Super Jordyn!

We are so excited for another great year at Grow with Me Preschool! Can't wait to see how she will grow and change. Wish I could slow down time!

Bear Lake Beach Trip

For several years we have talked about going to Bear Lake as a family but sadly every summer has quickly slipped away without us going. This summer we decided we were seriously going to make it to the beach. The girls wanted to go so bad, they would play "beach" while playing pretend. Technically the girls and I went last year but the weather was so yucky and the beach was nasty so we didn't even get to pretend we had played on the beach. We tried just setting a day to go but unfortunately the weather didn't work out so we picked the following Wednesday to go and again the weather didn't work. We had really hoped to go on Blake's day off so we wouldn't have to rush but the weather had other plans so we decided to make a quick morning trip that Thursday. This trip ended up being really really quick because Blake had to be back to work by 4 and Kenlee had back to school night at 5:15 but we still had a really great time.

The girls were in heaven digging in the sand and playing in the water. Poor Jordyn had swimsuit issues the whole time that we were there. All I can figure was that the swimsuit creator figured that they needed to plan for a diaper because it is way to large for any little girl to keep on her bum without a diaper. We saw A LOT of bum cheeks the whole time we were there. The first thing Kenlee did when we got there was build a sand castle, she had been planing this since we told her we were going to Bear Lake. What a cutie, she studied up on her technique and then even built a moat around it.

We had a very quick picnic lunch on the beach and even had fun with all the seagulls begging for food. Jordyn was fascinated with them and really wanted to pet one. She promised me she would not touch it, she just wanted to pet it. Oh the logic of a two year old. Poor Tytan spent the whole trip under a towel and blankets. Since I can't put sunscreen on him and he burns like his red headed daddy, this was the only way to protect him. It was a good thing for his sake that it was a little windy that day so he didn't over heat.

The following Monday was Labor Day and since my dad bought a new boat we decided to take it out for trip. So again we headed to Bear Lake for the day. We spent the day up with Karlee's father-in-law Wes at the Thompson's fantastic cabin. The day was sunny but really windy so it was hard to stay warm. Even with the wind we had a great time. The girls dug in the sand, played on the paddle board, rode on Poppi's really fast boat and tested out the sailboat. By the time we packed up to go home the girls were obsessed with Wes. He spoiled the girls and let them ride in the sailboat back and forth, brought them down in the taco bus to pick up the rest of the stuff and gave them a ball to take home with them. At lunch time he even made them some hot coco to warm up. Baby Mac is going to have amazing grandparents on both sides!

I am so glad that we finally got the chance to take our little kids to Bear Lake and enjoy the sand. I think this was a dream come true for them.

Moments in Time: August 2014

Another month has come and gone and so it is time to see what random cute pictures ended up on my phone. Because most of my pictures of the girls were posts I was already doing this month is a lot of Tytan pictures.

We decided that the week before school started back up we would cut everyone's hair. Tytan boys got short. He is such a little man! I really can't wait til his curls grow back.

At Colton Clark's mission farewell Ty proved he was the favorite and convinced both girls to go with him to the play ground. Since then he really has established favorite status, including sending a birthday gift to Kenlee since he wasn't going to be able to honor his invite to her party.
