Tytan's Three Months

Our little man is officially 3 months old.  I can actually say that I am enjoying almost every moment with this little man.  Not to say that things aren't hard at times, especially juggling three kids with Daddy gone at work but Tytan is generally a very happy boy.  He is my first baby that you don't have to be weary of spit up all the time.  There are even times that I wonder off with out his burp cloth or that the only reason I remember to pick up the cloth is because he is drooling.  Also he is my first baby that will hang out in a bouncer, swing or pack in play for a decent amount of time without freaking out, in fact now that he has discovered a very small amount of hand control and can play with his O ball he will play for most of the time I need to get all of us ladies ready for the day.  It is amazing.  Another new thing with this little guy is that he mostly whimpers. My poor girls screamed all the time but when Tytan boy gets upset he generally stays in a whimper. He can scream with the best of them if you really tick him off but this is a very rare thing. One of the only issues is he struggles to sleep.  For the most part he will sleep from 10:30 pm to 7 am but there are still several nights that he tries to whine all night, every hour on the hour.  Crossing my fingers this keeps getting better.

Recently he has discovered his feet and finds them fascinating.  He loves to just stare at them like they are new wiggly toys.

He is still in love with his sisters and visa versa.

He loves to be talked to and then of course tries to talk back to us.  He has lots of funny coos and noises.

He is eating about 3 1/2 ounces now.  The feeding before bed he eats 4 ounces.

He still insists on being swaddled to get any kind of sleep.  If his arms are free he will not sleep for more then a minute or two.  This has been difficult with the heat but with fall coming it should be easier to make sure he doesn't over heat.  For bed time he uses a swaddle me and then a blanket wrapped tightly around him.  I call it the burrito supreme.

He loves to watch football with Daddy.  I know that it is because of the colors and quick movements but it still pretty cute to watch father and son watching football.

He loves to suck on his hands.  Full fists in his mouth.  If he doesn't have a binkie in his mouth his hands must be there.  This adds to the drool issue.

Recently we discovered that people found a glitch on Madden 15.  A linebacker on the Cleveland Browns was accidentally put on the Titans and then to make it funnier his height is only 14 inches.  They call him the Tiny Titan.  So we have the original Tiny Tytan to go with Madden's Tiny Titan. 

Tytan can still fit in most of his newborn onsies but his height is finally making him wear 0-3 month clothes. We guess that he is around 11 lbs now.

Happy 5th Birthday Kenlee

Kenlee is 5! She has been waiting and counting and asking about her 5th birthday for at least 6 months now. The time has passed so quickly and I seriously have no idea how she got this big!  I put my baby to bed and she woke up a big girl. Crazy!

This years party was not really themed like usual. She wanted Dory from Finding Nemo to be her cake but then when she picked out all her decorations everything was pink and sparkly so of course we went with it and had a pink sparkle Dory party.

She woke up to the house decorated for her birthday this year and I could hear her in the living room excitedly looking at everything.  She found her birthday shirt and a new Minnie Mouse bow. The morning was spent doing her special birthday up do and playing around.  She picked her favorite lunch of Rameon Noodles. And then went down for naptime.  During nap I quickly finished preparing everything for her dinner and frosting Dory.  It went amazingly smoothly this year, no headache or drama! Hazzah!

After nap time we gathered up and went over to Gammie and Poppi's house to do dinner, cake and presents.  Her dinner choice this year was Taco Mountians, specifically with spicy chips (Salsa Verda Doritos).  Once dinner was over Kenlee couldn't wait to open presents. I completely expected her to be jumping up and down when each gift was opened but she was very calm and straight faced.  I honestly worried for a little bit that she had been disappointed by something and was upset but later on that night I realized that she had been nervous to do something embarrassing and waited to explode with excitement til she was home and it was only mom, dad, sister and brother.

Kenlee was completely and lovingly spoiled as usual.  Everyone brought her such sweet thoughtful gifts.  We all gathered in the living room to open gifts and my sweet Kenlee had her sister right by her side on the piano bench.  They have really grown close lately and want to be with each other and do everything together.  Kenlee had Jordyn pick which bag that she was going to open.  With each gift Jordyn cheered for her sister and was the one showing excitement. I had honestly expected Jordyn to struggle with jealousy issues since she is two but it was so sweet that the only thing Jordyn felt was pure excitement for her big sister.  All day you could hear her yelling "Happy Birthday sissy!"  I love my sweet little best friends.

Kenlee's Dory cake, it turned out so stinkin cute!  She picked lemon for her cake this year.  She likes a lot of different lemon flavored things so I didn't argue with her.  Unfortunately she found out that lemon cake is not one of the things she likes.   

This year I decided to do cute little K cupcakes with pink sparkles around the edges for those who didn't want a piece of the lemon Dory cake.  These cupcakes were vanilla.

Great Grandma and Grandpa Ulrich sent her this wonderful princess lego kit.  She loved to build it. Jorydn and her played with it for hours.

Auncle Karlton gave her swedish fish and a shopping trip.  They knew how much one on one time means to Kenlee so they gave her some money and then Karlee took her out shopping for a new dress and leggings.  She came home bubbling with excitment.  Thank you so much Karlee and Colton!

We gave her two pairs of yoga pants (she has been asking for stretchy pants for a long time), a pink and purple princess basketball and a pink polka dot baby stroller.

Gammie and Poppi gave her a new dress, shirt and pair of leggings.  She was so excited and wanted to hang them in her closet as soon as she got home.  She instantly decided that her new shirt and leggings were what she was going to wear on her first day of preschool.

Gammie also made sure that she slipped a little lalaloopsey toy in for Kenlee to play with.  They are a hit around here and the girls play with them all the time. Thank you so much Gammie and Poppi!

Tiffany, Brock and Porter got her this cute little piggy bank.  Several months ago while we were all shopping together Kenlee told Tiffany all about how she loved these piggy banks and really wished she had one.  Kenlee immediately went home and put all her pennies inside! Thank you Tiffany, Brock and Porter!  

Nathan also got her a new coloring book, colored pencils and a puzzle. My camera has been struggling so unfortunately when I was looking through the pictures, a lot of them were blurry and none of these ones turned out.

She loved her Dory cake.... except that silly mom didn't make a pink circle around the black of her eye.  I can not believe the details this little girl recalls. I can't slip anything past her.

Wednesday evening we took Kenlee out to dinner for her birthday.  We decided that since Blake and I go out to eat for our birthday we would let the girls pick a place to go for theirs.  Kenlee picked Texas Roadhouse this year and wanted steak and potatoes (Daddy was so proud and super excited)  She loves the peanuts also and couldn't get enough of them.

Friday we went to her 5 year check up and she is doing fantastic.  Her stats:
                                Height:  45 inches 90%
                                Weight:  41.5 lbs   55%
                                Eyes:  20/40 in both eyes

She was such a big girl at the doctors office and did just as she was asked to do and didn't panic at all.  I was so proud of her because I knew she was nervous.

Happy birthday sweet little Kenlee!  You are such a blessing in our lives!  Here's to another amazing year!

Bear Lake County Fair

The kids and I went to the Bear Lake County Fair this year because my cousin's kids were showing sheep.  I had gone a lot as a kid but hadn't been in years.  It was so much fun!  We spent the morning watching the sheep and then got some food from the fair.  After we enjoyed our greasy fair food we wondered around the barns looking at all the different animals.  My girls LOVED it! Once we had seen everything we headed over to the carnival rides and Gammie spoiled the girls and got them some tickets to ride. Jordyn thought some of them were fun but Kenlee LOVED every one of them.  I was surprised how independent she was willing to be when she was riding on all those rides. It was a great day and I really hope we get to go again next year and possibly take Blake with us too.

Moments in Time: July 2014

I was recently looking through the photo gallery on my phone and realized that I had a lot of cute pictures that don't really fit as a whole post by themselves so I have decided to do a monthly Moments in Time post to document these fun little moments I capture of our everyday life.

These two cuties helped Poppi in the garden a few weeks ago.

My three sweet kiddos.... I really had to snap quickly to catch a picture of all three of them looking at once.

Jordyn was drawing a picture with chalk after her haircut and she wasn't used to the hair tickling her cheeks so she tried to push it away and ended up covered in black chalk..... it was so cute!

This was days before Brady left for his mission.  One of the last pictures I took of my boy with his Uncle before Brady went into the mission field.

Jordyn was hopeful that if she sat with Gammie at the Hyde Park parade and held her bag open, the candy would come to her and she wouldn't have to go next to the scary parade. It didn't work just in case you were wondering.

The girls love to pick things out of Poppi and Gammie's garden.  The first things to come on were the peas and this is how they helped, sitting on the grass eating every pea they could get there cute little hands on.

With these two cute little boys being so close in age of course we have a lot of bestie moments.  This one was when they were both pooped out after a afternoon shopping.
