Jordyn's Newborn Pics

Instead of taking Jordyn to get her pictures done at JCPenny's I took her to the family friend who did Karlee's senior pictures and Brock and Tiffany's Engagments.  They turned out so good!! I am so happy with them.  

 This is the same dress that I did Kenlee's newborn pictures in..... they look so similar.

Easter 2012

As we were getting ready to leave my parents house the night before Easter, my mom was trying to encourage Kenlee to get ready without a fight.  She asked her if she was excited for the Easter bunny to come to her house.  Kenlee started to cry and told us she didn't want him to come.  No matter how much we tried to explain that he was going to bring her presents and candy she still insisted that he wasn't allowed to come to her house.  Finally I agreed to be the one that would hide the eggs this year and she calmed down.

Easter morning, Blake and Kenlee were getting ready to head to Stake conference.  Blake's parents were picking them up to carpool to the tabernacle. When the doorbell rang Kenlee ran over to me and yelled "Oh No its the bunny!" I couldn't help but start laughing.  I promised her it was Papa and not the bunny.

When Kenlee and Blake got back from church we did our own little egg hunt. Kenlee loved the hunting part again and we just ignored the bunny part.

After my parents got home from church we headed over to their house to do Easter dinner.  My dad made the best teriyaki chicken.  After we all cleaned up we did our egg hunt outside in the beautiful sunshine.

Kenlee got this Kangaroo in her basket and fell in love with it.  She named him Roo and he had to travel with her all day.  This is her smooching Roo.

We had such a great Easter Holiday.  We love spending time with all of our family! 

Dye Eggs

The Saturday before Easter I took the girls to Lee's to do the Easter Egg Walk.  Kenlee loved to get the treats and Jordyn slept through it (as she does most things right now.)  At the end of the path was the Easter bunny.  I was able to get Kenlee to take a picture with the Easter bunny only because I would stand with them. She is still very afraid of the bunny.

That night we got together with the Ulrich's to dye eggs. Karlee's boyfriend, Colton was able to come and Kenlee just loves him.  He is SO good with her and helped Kenlee get started.

Jordyn's 1 Month Update

That's right, Jordyn is already a month old! We just love this little girl.  She is a pretty good baby, she has been sleeping 8 hours or more a night for the last couple of weeks. For the last week or two she has had a bad tummy but we got her some drops and she is starting to feel better and so she is a lot happier during the day again. She is starting to try and coo at us and smile.  I still haven't caught one on camera but its pretty heart-melting. At her two week appointment she had already reached 9lbs 11ozs and 22 1/2 in.  She is growing really well.  

We are starting to slowly settle into a routine again. Kenlee has adjusted pretty quickly to being the big sister.  She LOVES Jordyn so much.  She kisses her all the time, Jordyn is the only one who gets kisses any more.  Whenever someone asks her if they can keep Jordyn she quickly tells them "No, she is my baby." Kenlee also loves to help me take care of Jordyn.  I have stuff in the living room to change Jordyn in the morning so I don't wake Kenlee, almost every morning after Kenlee wakes up I hear "cucky bums!" as she runs down the hall to put the diaper in the pail for me.  It is so stinkin' cute!  She also loves to hold Jordyn.

Pre-Easter Extravaganza

Conference weekend we had our Easter celebration with the Daines family.  Jess and Jeff were going to be heading to Disneyland on Easter so we partied the week before.  We all hid in the basement and awaited the arrival of the Easter bunny.  After we got the ok, Kenlee and Kenz and Jeff pushed past the stair blockade (Mitch and Blake) and headed upstairs to start the hunt. Kenlee LOVED looking for Easter eggs.  She really got the concept this year so it was great for us to watch as she ran around yelling "there's one!"
