Daines: Our Family: Blake's 28th Birthday

This last week we celebrated Blake's 28th birthday. His birthday was on a Wednesday this year and luckily Wednesday is Blake's day off right now so we got to spend the evening together to party with him. Blake got done with classes and was home around 5 that evening. Once everyone was cleaned up we headed out to Blake's traditional dinner at Texas Road House. We had such a great time enjoying the awesome food and great atmosphere. Both girlies enjoyed the music and the dancing. This year Blake wanted to eat his steak instead of feeding it to the girls so we had decided to order a steak for Kenlee. Luckily we discovered that Texas Road House has steak bites on their kid menu and we were able to get that for Kenlee, it was perfect, already cut up and ready for her to enjoy. Blake still didn't get his whole steak because Kenlee ate all of hers and still wanted more so her sweet daddy shared a strip of his. Jordyn loved the rolls & honey butter and then shared some of my fries. After dinner we headed back home to open presents and have cheesecake. Blake was very kind to me this year and let me make a traditional cheesecake with fresh raspberries on top.

Blake's parents and April showed up to sing happy birthday to the birthday boy around 8:30. His parents brought him a funny minion shirt and a subway gift card. April gave him the first season of New Girl and the movie Now You See Me. Blake has wanted the movie since he first saw it.

Saturday night we all gathered at my parents house to do a double birthday party for Blake and Colton (who's birthday is the day before Blake's). We had a great dinner of taquitos, homemade refried beans and double decker tacos. Then we had both boys open up their gifts (with the girls help of course).

After teasing me, I got Blake the first season of Everyone Loves Raymond for his second party.

Grandma Tuke gave Colton 2 big bags of Chex Mix.

Grandma Tuke gave Blake a package of double stuff oreos & a package of tripe decker oreos.

This year for dessert Blake had me make him an oreo cheesecake to share with everyone and Colton decided to have ice cream sunday bar. I had forgotten how much I love a good banana split!
