Moments in Time: March 2015

Tytan's first real Poppy treat. While I was finishing up a long day of hair Poppy decided he could sneek Tytan a Poppy treat which Tytan devoured. Sadly I didn't even notice til he had basically eaten the whole thing.

Jordyn loves her new sparkle rain boots from Karltonivia. She spent the first week or so wearing them around the house and using them as a purse. It was so adorable.

The girls love to eat at Pizza Pie Cafe. This is from Jordyn's birthday trip.

Jordyn's Minnie Mouse outfit from Gammie and Poppy. She had just got a fresh haircut and was all dolled up.

No matter where the castle is he must King Kong it. The girls don't think it is as funny as I think it is.

Kenlee finally lost her snaggle tooth. This is number 3 for her. I finally had to just rip it out because it was so gross.

Tytan's 10 Month Update

This handsome little man is 10 months old. He is such a joy in our lives. Most of the time he is a very happy, active little boy. He likes to smile and laugh. Tytan will actually laugh when other people are laughing at a joke, like he totally understood the punch line. Our boy has one of the cutest and cheesiest grins. You can't help but smile when he cheeses at you.

We think he may finally be around 17 lbs with a home weigh in. I was honestly a little surprised at how small he still is considering how much food this kid can put away. I promise he will eat almost anything and most of the time we have to stop him and tell him when the meal has ended. He will eat until he makes himself sick.

His sisters still fawn all over him and can't handle watching him upset. This has made bedtime routine difficult with all three sharing a room. Kenlee is always trying to sooth him by telling him its ok from her top bunk while Jordyn reports his every action to us by running down the hall with her message. Needless to say we may need to figure out a new strategy to bedtime.

He is getting braver each day with his balance and I would not be at all surprised if he were walking before his first birthday. He whole day is spent in movement and if one way doesn't work to get something or somewhere he will try again and again until he figures it out. This makes for lots of mischievous exploring, lots of no's and so many items pulled out of his mouth. We love our busy little man.

St. Patrick's Day Cuties

This was probably the first St. Patrick's Day that we have really celebrated for a while. I got the kids these adorable shirts. I forgot to put green on that morning and truly intended on going to put in my green earrings but kept getting distracted. At one point Kenlee said "Mom I don't see any green on you?" I quickly distracted her and honestly she didn't understand the "rules" of the day so I was safe. Until Dad got home from work. When Blake got home that night he told the girls to pinch me and then I was finally forced to put in my green earrings. Thanks Blake. We spent the evening partying with our friends and had a great time.

Oh Gee Look Who is 3

Jordyn Michele is three!?! I can not believe that she is that big already. Slow Down Time! She had been counting down to her birthday for about a month and was so excited when the day finally arrived. We spent most of the day just keeping her busy and spoiling her of course. She got to pick her favorite breakfast and lunch. We did special birthday hair and dressed her in her birthday shirt. We played the games she wanted to play. The 4th was spent doing all the Jordyn type things.

That evening we had our family party at my parent's house. This year we decided to take decorations over to my parents. Usually we only decorate our house but she wanted them at her party so we decorated Gammie and Poppy's house. After we made a "birthday girl corner" we did a second photo shoot. We took pictures that morning of her but need some of her with her decorations.

When I asked Jordyn what she wanted for dinner on her birthday she had the funniest requests. She wanted chicken, juice (and Gammie needed to be in charge of that because she had THE juice) and carrots with no poop on them. I apparently had been making poopy carrots and didn't even know it. Finally after several conversations about the carrots I figured out that she likes cooked carrots but not plain carrots. They taste poopy. That girl is so full of silliness. To make things simple I made chicken ranch tacos because she likes the chicken and she likes tortillas and it was easy to feed a large group of people. Karlee and Colton took care of the carrot request. They were successful and didn't make poopy carrots. Gammie came through with the perfect juice and everything was amazing.

After a wonderful dinner and lots of giggles we opened her presents. She was absolutely spoiled of course. Gammie and Poppy got her two adorable outfits and a frozen magnetic dress up doll. Grandma Tuke got her a coloring book, crayons and a chalk board. Brock, Tiffany and Porter got her some adorable vinyl sticker books that are perfect for entertaining the girls at church. Karlee,Colton and Olivia got her some adorable sparkly pink rain boats. Nathan and Brady got her a Minnie Mouse magnetic dress up doll. Mommy and Daddy spoiled her with Pinkalious books and a couple pairs of pajamas as she had requested. Great Grandma and Grandpa got her some Princess Sofia puzzles which she has been learning to put together.

Later on in the week she got to chose a restraunt to go to for her birthday. We thought she was old enough to join in that tradition. She picked Pizza Pie Cafe and loved every moment their. From the moment she picked it she knew just what she wanted to eat and went straight for her pepperoni pizza and bread stick.

Along with her birthday she had her yearly check up with her doctor and she is doing great! She was such a big girl and let the nurses do all her checks with out any complaints. I was so proud of her.

Tytan's 8 & 9 Month Updates

Well once again my updates have gotten a little behind, poor third child. Honestly its more because my list of things have gotten longer not that I don't snap pictures of this cutie pie all the time. I promise, he knows what the camera is for.

This little man has made some huge developmental progress in the last few months. He started to crawl the week before his nine month mark. It was perfect. He was crawling in time to tell his doctor about it at his check up but hadn't been getting into everything for very long. Trust me, he is in to everything now. Not long after he discovered crawling he started pulling himself up on things and now nothing is safe. I really honestly thought that my house was still child proof but the truth was, it was not Tytan proof. He is one very busy little man. If I turn my back for a second something is being de-shelved or eaten (I pull so much stuff out of his mouth).

Tytan does not deny food, he will basically eat anything. He is very driven by food and the promise of food. He will even beg for some food from under the table while sisters slowly eat their breakfast. This helped with his check up because he finally made it back on the growth chart. *CLAP* His doctor came in the room and clapped for him. He is finally in the 3rd percentile for weight. Hopefully we can keep him on the chart but now that he is cruising everywhere I am not sure it will.

His stats at his doctors appointment are:

Weight: 15lbs 15.5oz 3%

Height: 28inches 30%

Head Measurement: 18inches 65%

We love this little man, he certainly brightens up our days. His sisters still absolutely adore him. Kenlee can always get a laugh out of him. Jordyn has a great (intense) love for her brother. They are finally starting to figure out how to play together for short periods of time. This does open up a little free time for me which is strange. I check on them A LOT but they do so well.
