Pumpkin Walk times Two!

Once again this year we got to go to the North Logan Pumpkin Walk with Kenlee's preschool class. It was the perfect day for it.  The weather was beautiful and we were comfortable in just our coat and gloves.  The kids LOVED the scenes and couldn't wait to see what came next.  I really honestly think that each year we go the pumpkin walk gets better and better.  By the time we had made it through the whole walk both girls decided that we needed to take Daddy.  So that night when Blake got off of work we loaded back up and went through again. It was so fun and the girls couldn't wait to tell Daddy about each scene and take even more pictures.  Kenlee was really into being in the pictures but Jordyn would only go into select ones.  I really honestly don't know why she wasn't into it but she is 2 and there is not many who can explain a 2 year olds mind. Silly girl!

It Feels like Fall

It has been a beautiful fall this year.  I have really actually enjoyed it and probably had fall fever to be honest.  The last few years fall has come and gone in a blink of an eye and we were just left with cold bitter weather but this year we have had an actual fall. It is wonderful!

When we were leaving church on Sunday a neighbor of ours asked us if we were interested in apples and told us we could come pick as much as we wanted from their tree.  I went home that day very excited and started deciding what I would do with the apples and how many we needed. 

The following Wednesday we packed up the kids after nap and went over and picked three big bags of beautiful apples.  The girls had such a good time picking and would have picked a ton more if I thought we could have used them all. Then we packed up into the van again and headed up Smithfield canyon to look at the fall leaves before they were gone. Kenlee had been asking to do this for a while and I wanted to make sure that we didn't disappoint her.  She LOVED it and we ended up gathering half a Walmart bag of colorful fall leaves that we have been using to decorate our kitchen table.  It was a great day!

Thursday we decided to start using our apples.  Blake had requested fresh apple cider so that was were we started.  It was a lot of work but totally worth it when we were done.  We got an entire gallon of cider and have really enjoyed drinking it.  If I hadn't had to borrow Karlee and Colton's Ninja blender I would have gone and picked for one more gallon but we will again next year.  After cider we made a whole crockpot of wonderfully delicious applesauce.  It was so good and I really am tempted to go get enough apples to do another batch. It was relatively simple and amazingly delicious. I will be making it again. 

That afternoon Gammie, Tiffany and Karlee came over and we did our Halloween sugar cookies. Both girls really got into cutting out the cookies.  Once they were baking Jordyn wandered off and played with toys.  Kenlee helped frost the cookies and did a really good job of it.  She even did sprinkles. 

Sunday I made two apples pies to take to share with my family for Sunday dinner.  We were really busy that week but we enjoyed so many fun fall activities!

Kenlee Lost her First Tooth

Kenlee has had another awesome milestone. She lost her first tooth!  The silly thing had been loose for quite a while and after a week of me trying to pull it out every night when we brushed teeth it finally popped out in my hand.  I will not lie, it was a very shocking thing for both of us.  It was oddly wrong to pull a tooth out of my daughters mouth and she was surprised that after all that time it finally came out. Once it came out she called Gammie and Poppie, Tiffany and Brock, Karlee and Nate to tell them all the great news.  Then we bagged it up and she put it under her pillow to wait for the tooth fairy.  The next morning there was a dollar under her pillow, she was so excited!

I can't believe she is big enough to be losing teeth!  She already has two more loose teeth and will probably lose one of them very soon.  Wish I could make time stand still.

Yummy! Real People Food! Kind of.....

 The big moment has come and Tiny Tytan got to start rice cereal.  He thought originally that the highchair was a new torcher device for us to leave him in.  Then once he realize he was getting food he was very intrigued. He was concerned at first about the rice cereal but after a few spoonfuls he was LOVING it.  I have never had a child take to the cereal so quickly.  It really took some encouragement to get the girls to even finish a bowl but Tytan had his slicked down in no time.  Since then he has moved through all of his vegetables and has loved all of them.  He doesn't even flinch when we try a new one he is just excited for food!  Unfortunately sweet peas do not like him.  He had a few rough nights and also puked a lot!  We had to stop and we will introduce them later on again and see what happens.

With these solid foods we have honestly seen a little chunk starting with this tiny boy! Yay!  I hope the doctor likes his weight improvement at his 6 month check up!
 

4 Month Pictures

The boys had both changed a lot since their newborn photo shoot so Tiffany decided to do a mini session with both boys to get some updated pictures for Gammie.  They turned out so cute and I love looking at my sweet boy!

Moments in Time: September 2014

September has come and gone so its time to see the sweet moments that I caught on my phone through out the month. Enjoy!

This year we have season tickets to see the USU Football games. It has been a great family activity! This is the first game of the year against Idaho State.

Kenlee loves to snuggle with Tytan and Tytan loves his Kenlee.

The girls got to go help Gammie and Poppie clean out the garden. They decided to wash all the little pumpkins (or as Jordyn called them "little fellas")

We got to watch Porter a few times while his Mommy was working and the boys had a great time together.

As a fun activity the girls and I decided to make our very first batch of rice crispy treats.  Of course we had to  make them pink.

This is Kenlee's preschool homework.  She had to finish a people poster to look like her and it turned out so cute.  She is the smarty pants that came up with the idea to use yarn for the hair.  It was so fun.

I finally redid the seat to my grandmother's vanity.  It turned out so cute.
