Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!!! I can't believe my little girl is already 3!

Here are a few fun things that I want to remember about you and your sweet three year old personality.....

Favorite Color:  Purple.... followed closely by pink
Favorite Food:  Alfredo Pasta and tortillas (but not together)
Favorite Movie: Anything with Pooh Bear or Minnie in it
Favorite Animal: Polar Bear or Giraffe (thanks to our trip to the zoo)
Favorite TV show: Busy Town Mysteries
You believe that when bubbles are going down the drain that the bubbles are going to see their mommy.
You are a total sweetheart but have a very sassy soul.
You are VERY independent, you love to try to do everything yourself but when the task becomes to daunting you are more then willing to ask for help.
Whenever you need to get something unstuck you yell "pee po"(heave ho)
You still don't like the dark but if you are anything like mommy you may not grow out of that....sorry.
You are always willing to help out.
When  playing with other kids you act more like the little mommy then one of the kids.
You always try to make things fair..... whenever we try to use you to tease each other, like asking you which football team is your favorite, you say mommy's and daddy's team
You may be very sweet but you LOVE to tease people, especially your daddy.
Your baby sister is your best friend.
If you start getting grumpy we know you most likely need sleep or food (asap)

Her check-up went really well. She is growing great!  She actually let the doctor and nurses do their jobs without completely unglueing. I am so proud of her. Her stats:

Weight: 32 1/2lbs      75% (which is perfect for her height)
Height: 39 1/2in         92%
Head Measurments:  20in    90%

Our very excited birthday girl!

Kenlee wanted a Minnie mouse party and depending on the week it was supposed to be a purple or pink Minnie party.  To make sure I didn't mess up on the color I used purple and pink :)

We all went over to Grandma and Grandpa Ulrich's house to have a big birthday dinner of Alfredo and french bread. After dinner she was way too excited to wait to open presents so we had to call Grandma and Grandpa Daines & Auntie April to see if they could come over early. Luckily they said they could.  After they came we opened all your gifts and needless to say, she is one spoiled and loved little girl.

Beginning to open her first presents......

First was Grandma and Grandpa Daines gift. They got her these wonderful Minnie Mouse pjs and an awesome Minnie Mouse dress.

Next was Auntie Aprils, she made this beautiful Minnie Mouse cut out which we will hopefully get it framed and up in her room soon. 

April also gave her another beautful Jim Shore Disney figurine.

It is Aladdin and Jasmine on the magic carpet. It also plays A Whole New World and lights up.

Next was a wonderful gift from Grandma Tuke.  She gave Kenlee a CD with primary songs on it.  As soon as Kenlee saw what it was she yelled "this is my favorite!" What a cutie.

Nate and Brady got her a Hello Kitty notebook and Toy Story 3 squinkies.

Grandma and Grandpa Ulrich got Kenlee a CD player for her room so that she could dance and play her CD's.

Jordyn got her a Lalaloopsy book.

Colton got her a race car, and not just any race car but a purple race car. She was so excited!

Daddy spoiled her (and himself) and got her a 49er's dress.

Mommy and Daddy got her a Minnie Mouse movie and a lalaloopsy doll.

Tiffany, Brock and Karlee got her a princess tent, she hasn't stopped playing in it since she got it. Every morning we have to put it up and she loads it full of toys.

After gifts we did cake and ice cream with everyone. I think this is the first year that us singing to her didn't scare her.

She is 5 Months!!!

Another month has passed and I can't seem to make them slow down, if anything I swear they are flying faster. Jordyn keeps growing like a weed. I can't wait to see how tall she measures at her 6 month appointment because I think it will surprise me. She is still a pretty good baby as long as her tummy isn't acting up on her.  She loves to be talked to and played with. Also she has decided that sitting up in her bumbo or the walker is a great thing because she can see whats going on around her with out any assistance. The rice cereal and veggies thing has become another love of hers and it is always a tragedy when the bowl runs dry. We have finally been able to figure out a nap schedule with her that makes mommy's and baby's life a lot easier.  Now if we could just convince sister that there is no need to give up her nap we would be set, but alas she can not be convinced.

 These two are still VERY close.  Kenlee comes and tells me "Baby is my best friend." It is SUPER sweet! Kenlee can't wait for Jordyn to wake up in the morning and its hard to convince her that baby still needs to sleep.  But as soon as Jordyn wakes up Kenlee can be found playing through the bars of the crib and yelling "BABY'S UP" until mommy or daddy gets there to get sister.

She still has sweet chunky cheeks and thighs that you just want to pinch.

I had to put these two pictures on because she is starting to make funny faces but they are super hard to catch.  

More often then not you can count on Jordyn to be playing with her tongue.

She was pretty patient with me taking TONS of pictures in hopes of catching some good ones but when she was done she took her bow off. I had never seen her do it on purpose until today.  I couldn't help but laugh and take more pictures.

Jordyn is a pro pouter.  I swear her lip sticks out a mile long and I think it is so cute.  I know, I am strange to think my daughter crying is cute but it really is.  I tried to catch it but to no avail. But here is some crying pictures for memories sake.

Oh the drama begins......

Earlier in the week I tried taking her pictures but I didn't like them as much.  I couldn't pose her without the bumbo. But some of them worked....

She has abs of steel and is always being "Super BABY", I bet if she tried as hard to put her hands and legs down towards the ground she could crawl (but I am not in any hurry)

For those of you who haven't met Kenlee's pink blanket bear, it is a valuable and untouchable friend of hers. But lately she has given him to Jordyn to play with (if only for a little while.) She is so sweet and loves to share with her baby sister.  I just really hope these feelings last forever and they stay close.

Our Wicked-ly Awesome Anniversary Trip

As most of you know Jordyn was due on Blake and I's 4th Anniversary.  Luckily we were able to convince her to come early.  But due to this Blake and I opted to postpone our usually trip for obvious reasons. For Christmas, Blake's sister April gave us tickets to Wicked!  I know, she is AWESOME!  We decided to make it into our anniversary trip.  We packed up the girls Thursday morning and took them to Grandma and Poppi's house where they would spend the night.  Then Blake and I headed to Centerville to see the new Batman movie in IMAX.  We got there a little early and because the seats are reserved, we were able to sit in there food court and eat a quick lunch of quesadillas and sweet potato fries.  YUMMY!   This was my first IMAX experience and it was so wonderful. You can literally feel the sound.  AWESOME!!

After the movie we headed to the new City Creek Mall in Salt Lake.  We had decided that we would not buy gifts for each other this year but instead shop together.  I will confess that I was incredibly intimidated by the experience.  The stores there are very fancy and expensive.  We wandered for hours and hardly dare touch a thing.  We did finally find a cool 49ers hat for Blake (which we have to order online because they didn't have it in the store) and a FABULOUS sweater/jacket for me.  I also loved the Disney store and of course brought home souvenirs for the girls.  

Once we were done at the mall we headed to Denny's for dinner.  This is kind of a inside joke/funny reminder of our honeymoon.  The only place to eat with in walking distance of our hotel was a Denny's so we ate there A LOT on our honeymoon.  We hadn't been back to one since til last week.  After we were done eating we had to find a place to change into our dress clothes for Wicked.  We kind of ran out of time and honestly couldn't think of many options so we changed in the Denny's restrooms.  Oh the memories!  

The grand adventure of the evening was WICKED!  It was amazing!! I am so glad that we had the opportunity to go and experience such and amazing show.

After the show we slowly made our way home.  While on our way we saw a sign for a Village Inn and stopped off for some pie and water (we were so dehydrated).  Then when we finally made it back to Logan (at around 1 am) we went into Walmart to get a bottle of sparkling cider ( another tradition for our anniversary). We had such an amazing day full of memories and it was a much needed break from the world to spend sometime with my amazing husband.  Thank you Blake, its been an awesome 4 1/2 years.  You are truly amazing.
