Christmas 2016

Christmas this year was special as always.  We had a new baby to welcome and figure out how to incorporate into our lives.  The kids spent the month counting down to Christmas with a plethora of advent calendars.  We tried to get to all the traditions that we could but also try to keep things simple and fun with a newborn.  Because Christmas was Sunday the kids got to open 2 presents on Christmas Eve.  They got new PJ's and also new church clothes.  Everyone was very excited!

Santa brought Tytan a trampoline and a punching bag to see if he could burn some boy energy.

Santa brought Jordyn a Toy Story gang.  She's excited to introduce her new friends to the Jessie doll she got last year.

Santa brought Kenlee awesome roller blades.  This girl loves being outside and has been learning to roller blade and now has her own pair.  

Santa thought Camden could use a ball drop to entertain himself in the near future.  

Santa brought mommy a smart watch. 

Daddy got a leatherman multitool and a case to carry it in.  

We got the kids their own sleeping bags this year which they are opening together.  They got to sleep in them inside the new tent for New Year's Eve.

Camden got one giant box of gifts this year since he wasn't into the unwrapping yet. Hopefully next year. 

Moments in Time: November 2016

When you are headed to lunch with Daddy, dress the part!

My sweet Aunt Debbie invited us to bring the kids to see her animals. The kids had an amazing time and were so excited about all the different friendly animals.

Both girls loved the horses and got to ride on them several times.

Miss Jordyn was so proud that she was brave enough to ride alone.

Debbie has fainting goats and they are the cutest things ever. Kenlee and Jordyn absolutely loved being able to feed them. I really hope we didn't make them sick to their stomachs.

Jordyn surprised me with loving to pet her awesome chickens.

Tytan was very timid around the animals and was very scared of the horse in particular. He decided that the cats were about his speed. No worries though, the cats thought he was interesting. He tried to teach them to fetch rocks.

Kenlee was a little nervous but still held the chicken.

Jordyn loved every moment of holding the chicken. So surprising.

All the kids got the chance to gather eggs. She has a few new chickens that don't know the "proper" place to lay them so the kids looked through the hay as well.

Never a dull moment with this little man. Styling himself... of course.

It took me a while to figure out where my coke was going. Honestly wondered if I was drinking it all without knowing (pregnancy hormones). Then one day I walked back into the room and caught the little stinker red handed. He then learned that if her offered to get me a coke he could probably swipe it. He soon began asking as early as 8:30 in the morning. "Hey mommy, you look tired. Want a coke?" Accompanied by a heart melting smile.....

Man this baby likes to sit balled up to one side or the other. We are both totally out of space but it still insists to stay curled up.

37 weeks. Almost there! Yay!

Jordyn's beautiful costume she made at preschool. She loves school so much!

The weekend after Thanksgiving all the grand kids got together to build their traditional gingerbread houses at Grandma and Papa Daines'. Kenlee did most of the work, including using the icing bag all by herself. Man she is getting too big too fast! Love her independence!

Auntie April was her assistant through the construction. They were an unstoppable team!

Mom's water bottle makes the best mountain for the nativity animals to climb ( and possibly fall.)
