Moments in Time: May 2016

This is how a boy uses a stroller.

Poor Kenlee got strep and was forced to miss her first day of school. She made it all the way to May before she missed a day. We got her on antibiotics and things seemed to be going well. About 9 days into the antibiotics she started with a rash. I called the nurse and she agreed that it was probably an allergic reaction so we got her on some allergy meds and took her off the antibiotics. Thinking that would be the end of it I was shocked the next morning to see that she was horribly worse. I quickly called the doctor and got her an appointment. We found out that her strep had turned into scarlet fever. SERIOUSLY?!? I didn't know people still got scarlet fever!  So there was nothing we could do for her rash and we needed to finish treating her for the bacteria that created the strep and scarlet fever. Because we skipped 2 doses we had to do 10 more doses and then ran the risk of UTI and an actual allergic reaction. Luckily she caught a break and none of those things happened. The rash eventually went away. Poor Girl!!

After a very long, cranky morning I decided to break the cycle and we had our first picnic int he backyard this spring.

Picnics make everything better!

We are back to mowing season and the kids love nothing more then to watch daddy. They had breakfast on the patio with entertainment!

Miss Jordyn's last day of preschool. They had a bubble/pool party and she was so excited!

This emotional girl required some sleep. When told she would be sleeping she screamed "Why? Why me?" over and over again. When the screaming stopped this is what I found. This is why baby girl, you were exhausted.

My absolutelly sweet hubby made me a Black Widow cake. I LOVED it! He is so creative!

My Kindergartner after she rocked the halls at Summit for doing all her reading goals for the year. It was awesome to go watch!

Blake had had several Saturdays mornings off so we decided to take our turn and help clean the church. Of course that Saturday he was back to working mornings and so the kiddos and I went to offer some help. I didn't realize how much fun the kiddos would having helping. They asked if we could do it every Saturday! The donuts that Brother Hoffman brought didn't hurt anything....

After a busy morning of helping Aunt T, Brock and Porter move we took the kiddos to lunch at Subway. Tytan couldn't even keep his head up to eat a cookie....

Tytan's 2nd Birthday

Tytan absolutely loves super heroes especially Captain America.  He has even watched a few segments of the movies because he "couldn't sleep." So I decided to do a Captain America themed party for his second birthday. He was so excited about every little part of his birthday this year. It just made everything that much better and sweet.  His cake was my favorite part, it turned out just how I had hoped!

We invited all our family over to enjoy a dinner of chicken nuggets (his choice) and of course cake. He was very into opening his gifts this year and each one was as exciting as the next. 

Aunt Jess, Uncle Jeff and Kenzie got him a big Tsum Tsum Captain America.  He call him sleepy cap and we all ways need him for bedtime!

Grandma and Papa gave him a super hero cape and a Captain America mask.

I know its blurry but this is one of the four super hero shirts we got little man. He had begged almost every day for a month to wear a Cap shirt and we didn't have one for him. We fixed that.

This one is my favorite. It has a little hood on it that turns into a mask for him when he puts it on.

We also got a little man sized basketball for him so he could shoot hoops with daddy!

Karltonia got him these sweet sand toys and a little porch sandbox for him to use them in. He loves it!

Gammie and Poppy got him a big boy quilt (in the making.) It of course has all the avengers characters on it and he can't wait to use it on his big boy bed when we switch him.

Uncle Nato gave him these awesome wind-up tubby toys. A shark and a frog that swim in the tubby.

Great Grandma and Papa gave him a Captain America action figure. It was from the Titan serise. Appropriate?? I think so! Hahaha He call him little Cap since he has another figure that is about half as tall as him from Christmas.

Aunt April gave him another sweet Jim Shore figurine. Its called my first Mickey. Baby Mickey is wearing his jammies.

At his well check the doctor was still very impressed at his growth. This little man has gone from a 2% under baby to a average size. He is strong, active and always learning new things.  He is a copier so his speech is very good and he is only learning more every day.

I am so grateful for this little boy and all the joy he has brought this family. He is boy through and through. He loves all things balls, trucks, tractors and super heroes. Happy Birthday Tytan Boy! We love you!

Moments in Time: April 2016

Tytan is always on the move and because of this changing him becomes a boncey Tigger event. Unfortunately the changing table wasn't strong enough for this.... He was so upset that he broke it, it was frustrating and funny at the same time.

I really thought the changing table was a hopeless case but my dad amazed me again by rebuilding (stronger then before) the changing table. Now I just need to repaint. Tytan now stands on the table and says "no jump, break." So I guess he learned from this too.

One of Kenlee's favorite school hair dos. She is always testing my abilities so she can show off her hair at school. She/I have quite the reputation to uphold.

First time out this spring with my little running buddy.

How do I tell this little man to go to bed when he is willing to snuggle with me?

He also makes me not want to get moving in the mornings because he wants me to hold and snuggle him...... the rest of the day he is running around like a Tazmanin Daredevil.

Picking sister up from school this year has been funny with this little cutie. She thought she was so clever putting her sunglasses on Cinderella.  She was..... 

Messy duck face anyone?

I spend so much of my days cleaning this boy up. He is SUCH a messy eater but he is a good eater so I take a deep breath and dive in.

And he often spoils me with a funny face to make the cleaning worth it.

We finally took the plunge and bought a double running stroller so I can take my little runner out more! The little kiddos loved the ride!

It finally warmed up enough for Miss Jordyn to wear her new birthday outfit from Great Grandma and Papa to school. She was so excited!

Kenlee and Daddy spoiled Mom and did the Sunday dishes. Kenlee is getting so big and almost always willing to lend a hand.

Sometimes eating your lunch in a timely manner requires you to do some intense meditation.

Seriously having lunch with his cheeka one on one while sister is in school has left me laughing almost everyday.
